College Students Celebrate A Level Results

Many at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London now off to university

Students at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College's Ealing and Hammersmith campuses have been celebrating their A Level results success, with many getting the results they needed to go to universities across the country.

Shad Hoshyar, 19, from Harrow, described himself as "ecstatic" after gaining two A*s and an A in Economics, History and Politics, and confirming his place at Cambridge University.

He said studying at the College had made him a better student: "My time at college has been a real investment in my life and I'll cherish every moment. It's really nurtured me into becoming a better student and a better person. It's taught me valuable skills, which I'll take on for the rest of my life. It's a fantastic institution to have been a part of."

Shad credited some of his success to the "dedication" of his teachers and encouraged other students to take advantage of their guidance: "Your teachers are there to help you - use them as a resource, pick their minds and knowledge as much as possible."

Other students celebrating their university places were Sophia Pisani, 19, from Ealing, who gained the grades to get onto the marketing degree at the UWE Bristol and Isra Omran, also 19, from Chelsea, now heading off to the University of Essex to study biochemistry.
