Phill Jupitus Headlines Comedy Night for Epilepsy Research UK

Squat Betty charity night is at Duchess of Cambridge on October 7

Stamford Brook pub the Duchess of Cambridge is hosting a Squat Betty comedy and spoken word night featuring guest act Phill Jupitus on Monday 7 October in aid of Chiswick-based charity Epilepsy Research UK.

Organised by brilliantly witty standup, Richard Sandling, the Squat Betty charity night will present a whole host of talent, from character and sketch comedy to music and poetry.

The excellent line-up for the night features Never Mind the Buzzcocks star Phill Jupitus, James Acaster, Helen Arney, Thom Tuck, Sofie Hagen and Tim Wells with MC, Richard Sandling.

This very special night of comedy and spoken word is on Monday 7 October at the Duchess of Cambridge Pub, 320 Goldhawk Road, London W6.

Doors open 7.30pm, show starts 8.00pm. Tickets available on the door, £10. All the proceeds from ticket sales for the event are being donated to Epilepsy Research UK.

The special charity night is being held by the pub's managers Simon Waind and Ruth Boult, who along with the Duchess of Cambridge pub itself, are long-standing supporters of Epilepsy Research UK.

The Waind family set up the Jean Waind Memorial Fund, in memory of Simon’s mother; the Boult family support Epilepsy Research UK because a family member had epilepsy. Together they have raised over £40,000 towards the funding of new research into key areas of epilepsy research.
