Singing in the Rain

Free Festival for All Ages in Lyric Square                                                            
Hammersmith’s residents will be singing in the rain at the Lyric Theatre’s free summer party this weekend.

The water-themed Theatre festival on July 7 will feature interactive shows and events for all the family in Lyric Square, curated by And the Rain Falls Down Director, David Harradine. 

There will be shows, workshops, roaming circus acts, live music and larger-than-life raindrops that have stopped in the sky and a washed-up whale.

Visitors will get the chance to take part in a mass Umbrella Dance and Stormy Weather singalong.

There will be shows featuring a greedy frog for the under-sevens, tunes from DJ Charlie Dark, and Water Angels singing.

Children and teenagers aged between four and 16+ will have a chance to take part in interactive workshops, including Artistic Director David Farr’s masterclass Beauty and the Beast.

There will also be clowning and mask workshops and performance poetry workshops based on Simon Schama's bestseller, Rough Crossings.
