Brook’s Blues bar is back after the summer break with a great line-up of
bluesmen & women for the autumn. Among those making their first appearance
at Brook's are Steve Morrison, Papa George, Ray Stubbs & His Amazing One Man
Blues Band, the irrepressible Hoxton Hamfats, Roger Hubbard, and Emily Hayes
accompanied by Colin Good (Bryan Ferry's pianist and a mean blues piano
player).
There are also firm favourites, Wizz Jones, Dave Peabody, Jim Murray, and Eddie Walker to name just a few. So make sure your Fridays are firmly booked up at Brook's - the only venue in London to exclusively feature vintage country blues and spontaneous jam sessions that continue long after the witching hour! It’s business as usual, with one small change ... entry is now £6. That extra quid will be invested in
promoting Brook’s to a wider audience.
Steve Morrison makes his Brooks Blues Bar debut with his unique interpretation of the blues genre. His varied and accomplished guitar skills and breathy vocals reminiscent of Tom Waits explore the traditions of the early delta blues and he has already caught the ear of the critics.
Steve, London born with Scottish roots combines the Celtic and folk music of
Europe with that of early American blues – strong, powerful and from the
heart.
