A teenager required treatment for a head injury after an altercation in Boots in Hammersmith this Thursday (13 February).

The police say they were called to the store on King Street at around 3pm after reports of a disturbance inside the premises. They subsequently received another report that a man had been seen with a knife in the area.

On arrival they found a 14-year-old boy who had suffered a head injury. It is not clear at this stage whether this resulted from an attack with a bladed weapon.

The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics from London Ambulance Service. He was then taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not being life-threatening.

The pavement outside the store was cordoned off and police remained at the scene for the rest of the day.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
