The new shirts supplied to Hammersmith FC
November 2, 2026
Drum & bass duo Chase & Status have renewed their sponsorship of Hammersmith FC for a third season.
The partnership has produced a distinctive new red home shirt, co-designed with west London graffiti artists CGO, which has already sold out.
The two musicians, who both have roots in Hammersmith, are putting their money behind the club's women's team as well as supporting its wider development. Both have young daughters who play football and are keen to help ensure that girls have the same opportunities to participate and progress in the game as boys.
The sponsorship helps meet players' costs and has coincided with a remarkable rise in the fortunes of Hammersmith's women's first team, which has secured four promotions in five seasons to reach the fifth tier of the English football pyramid.
The club's story was featured on talkSPORT's Weekend Sports Breakfast on Sunday, where presenters Shebahn Aherne and Tony Cascarino regularly choose a Shirt of the Week. The feature has become a popular part of the programme, with clubs from around the country getting in touch to explain the stories behind their kits.
The new Hammersmith shirt has particular significance because it celebrates a lesser-known chapter in the area's cultural history: its street art scene during the 2000s.
The design brings together the club, Chase & Status and CGO, whose artists were a familiar presence in west London when the musicians and Hammersmith FC co-founders were growing up. The kit was unveiled through a joint Instagram post by the band and the club.
Chase & Status said: “Supporting grass roots football is really important to us. Hammersmith FC have had so much success in the past three years. Especially their women's squad. We are excited to be involved for another year.”
Tommy Fish, chairman and co-founder of Hammersmith FC, said the musicians had become an important part of the club's story.
“Chase & Status will go down in Hammersmith folklore, as people as much as musicians. To keep backing our club as we climb the leagues says everything about their character and their brilliant management team.”
He added: “We've gone from park pitches to beating Millwall in the league and earning a home FA Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon. Soon we'll move into our first stadium, a far cry from where we were when this partnership began. Chase & Status have played a huge part in growing our brand and funding our progress on the pitch.”
The women's team, which was established in 2021, has enjoyed an impressive run of success, winning four promotions in five seasons and beating established clubs including Millwall, Bromley and Leyton Orient along the way. They now compete in the same division as Brentford Women.
Having knocked Wycombe Wanderers out of the Women's FA Cup, Hammersmith hosted AFC Wimbledon Women in the first round proper on Sunday 25 October at Gunnersbury Park, unfortunately losing 3-0..
Fish also paid tribute to the club's co-founder and director of football, Akin Okunola, whom he described as a driving force behind its sporting ambitions.
He said: “My co-founder, Akin Okunola, is a relentless Director of Football, and with him driving the sporting side we'll keep climbing and winning. Next up is the National League, and building youth teams for boys and girls.”
The graffiti-inspired shirt has also provided an opportunity to celebrate the founders' own connections with the local street art scene.
“Big up CGO for the kit,” said Fish. “Will, Saul, Akin and I all dabbled in graffiti in our misspent youth, and CGO were ever-present growing up, so this is a beautiful full circle moment.”
The renewed partnership comes at a successful time for Chase & Status, who have enjoyed a major resurgence in popularity. The duo won the BRIT Award for British Producer of the Year in 2024 and achieved their first UK number one single with ‘BACKBONE’, featuring Stormzy.
Their latest album, Generic Everything, featuring collaborations with J Hus, Little Simz, Giggs and Skrillex, reached number two in the Official UK Albums Chart. They have also announced a series of arena performances early next year as part of their live world tour.
Founded in 2020, Hammersmith FC describes itself as a community-focused club bringing together players and supporters from a wide range of backgrounds. Its men's and women's teams operate under one club identity, with an emphasis on inclusivity, diversity and providing opportunities for local people to participate in sport. Its ambitions extend beyond the football pitch, with youth development workshops and initiatives intended to help young people prepare for life and careers beyond school.
The club hopes to build on its progress by developing youth teams for both boys and girls, while preparing for the move into its first stadium.
