Stories from the Floor by Damian Llambias
CARPET TALES is part of a series of works exploring the relationship between subject matter and artform in the depiction of people and their environments. This crosses the traditions of the allegorical tapestry and Constable's portraits with the minimalism of the modern day monochrome and the materialism of works by artists such as Gordon Mata Clark and Carl Andre. Llambias' work ranges from soundscapes and museum display to architectural invention and photography.

An argument with her husband over scalded milk rapidly turns into a shattering confession. In her brilliant adaptation, Fay Weldon shows how a single conversation can devastate a marriage. Shared Experience has thrilled audiences the world over with its powerful, visually stunning productions
including A Passage to India, Mill on the Floss and Jane Eyre. The company’s vivid storytelling gives form to the hidden world of emotion and imagination.

'Ninja Man' is a no-budget action comedy feature film. The movie follows the wicked adventures of the title character (played by the talented Oliver Wright) who goes about starting fights with strangers, getting in trouble at school and drinking lots of Hooch. The film premiered at the NFT in London in June 2002 and won a Gold Seal and The Special Jury Prize the IAC's International Film & Video Movie 2003 awards. Ninja Man is one of the finest examples around of what can be achieved with consumer digital video equipment, a skeleton crew, no budget - just dedication, an un-pc sense of humour and lots of imagination.
