Fire brigade concerned about cylinders stored in garage
Residents have been evacuated from there homes today (2nd February) following a fire in Springvale Terrace.
Police were alerted by London Fire Brigade at around 15:45 to a fire at a garage in Springvale Terrace, W14.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
Since the garage is understood to contain cylinders, the area around the fire has been sealed off.
Residents of all addresses in Springvale Terrace and some addresses in Blythe Rd, Masbro Rd and Redan St have been evacuated. Police believe that as many as 300 people could be affected, many of whom will be at work and unaware of this incident. Cordons are likely to be in place for 24 hours.
LB Hammersmith and Fulham are providing temporary accommodation.
