Families who use Ravenscourt Park are being invited to help shape a major overhaul of its play areas, as Hammersmith & Fulham Council launches the next phase of its borough-wide Play Transformation Programme.

Ravenscourt Park, one of the council’s flagship green spaces, is home to several well-used playgrounds that serve children of all ages. As part of the council’s £multi-million investment in improving play facilities between 2025 and 2028, residents are now being asked for their views on how these spaces should be redesigned, modernised and made more inclusive.

The consultation covers four key areas of the park:

  • South play area and sandpit – near the paddling pool and railway arches
  • East play area – between the tennis courts and the games field
  • North play area – close to the Goldhawk Road entrance
  • Basketball and games area – towards the centre of the park

A map of the play zones is available online, and residents can complete a short survey to share their ideas on what works well, what needs improvement and what new features they would like to see.

The consultation forms part of H&F’s long-term investment programme, which aims to upgrade playgrounds across the borough. It focuses on creating safe, imaginative and accessible spaces that encourage active play, social interaction and outdoor learning.

Residents have until 5pm on 9 March to complete the survey and help shape the future of the park’s play facilities.

Anyone who needs support completing the survey, or who would like the information in another language or accessible format, can contact the council’s parks team at parks.projects@lbhf.gov.uk.
