Local Restaurant Voted as London's Second Favourite

Sam's Riverside ranks highly in the Harden's annual survey

Sam's Riverside

December 19, 2023

Sam’s Riverside restaurant in Hammersmith has been voted as London’s second favourite restaurant in the annual Harden’s reader survey.

The restaurant guide publishes the results every December in a range of categories and it is unusual for a relatively new restaurant to feature as one that is voted for in the favourites category.

With Sam’s Riverside having opened in 2019, meaning that much of its early years of operation were disrupted by the pandemic, the achievement is all the more notable.

Sam responded to the survey by saying on social media, “I am VERY proud that the readers @HardensBite voted us their 2nd favourite restaurant in London. We are only 4 years old & this is achieved by incredible efforts from my team - what a lovely way to finish 2023!”

He was beaten to top spot by Chez Bruce in Wandsworth and other local venues such as the River Café and La Trompette in Chiswick also featured in the top ten.

Sam Harrison has recently launched Sam’s Waterside in the Brentford Project next to his delicatessen Sam’s Larder a branch of which is also on Turnham Green Terrace.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
