An existing Collaboration Choir performing
September 7, 2026
A new pop-music community choir is launching in Hammersmith this month, with Choir Director Luke Sitaraman inviting residents of all ages and abilities to come along for weekly sessions.
The choir will rehearse on Thursday evenings at the Hammersmith Christian Fellowship on Dalling Road, offering a welcoming space for anyone who enjoys singing — whether they are seasoned performers or complete beginners.
Sitaraman, a professional choir director and singer, says the new group is designed to be accessible, social and rooted in the joy of making music together. The choir is non-auditioned, making it ideal for people who have always wanted to try singing in a group but never felt confident enough to take the first step. Each session will explore vocal harmony through upbeat, contemporary songs, with a strong emphasis on fun and community spirit.
Performances will often support charitable causes, and the choir is already working towards a project with Children in Need. Sitaraman hopes the group will become a lively hub for local residents, offering both musical development and a buzzing social atmosphere.
Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 8pm to 9.30pm at Hammersmith Christian Fellowship, W6 0HE. New members are encouraged to sign up for a free taster session to experience the choir first-hand and meet the growing community.
More information and sign-ups are available here.
The Collaboration Choir has groups across the country. It is the brainchild of Carrie Rawlings whoes aim was to build a truly inclusive musical community.
