Daisy Kelly with her award
December 4, 2025
A Hammersmith-based entrepreneur has been honoured at the UK’s longest-running awards programme for female founders, taking home the coveted Social Star Award at the 2025 Tide everywoman Entrepreneur Awards.
Daisy Kelly, founder and CEO of beauty brand Glow For It, was recognised for her innovative use of social media to build one of the UK’s fastest-growing ethical beauty businesses. The award was presented at a ceremony held on 2 December at The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square, attended by over 300 business leaders, investors, and supporters of women-led enterprises.
Daisy’s journey began at her mother’s kitchen table, where she started packaging orders and sharing behind-the-scenes videos on TikTok. Her theatrical background helped her connect with audiences, and her strategic approach to content and community engagement led to viral success — including a 12-hour live event where products sold every 21 seconds. Glow For It went on to become the first SME to win TikTok of the Year at the TikTok Ad Awards and recently launched in Boots, marking a major milestone for the brand.
The Social Star Award celebrates founders who have harnessed the power of digital platforms to grow their businesses and connect with customers. Daisy’s win highlights the growing influence of social-first brands and the resilience of female entrepreneurs in a challenging economic climate.
Nicole Goodwin and Sophie Catto, joint managing directors of AllBright everywoman, praised the winners for their perseverance and ambition saying, “This year’s finalists and winners are bold innovators, breaking down deep-rooted barriers for the next generation of female founders.”
George Schmidt, CEO of Tide UK/Europe, added, “The founders honoured this year are reshaping their sectors and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
BGF, associate sponsor of the awards, reaffirmed its commitment to female entrepreneurship, pledging £300 million over the next five years.
The awards come amid findings from the Female Business Owners Index 2025, which revealed that despite inflation and falling consumer spending, 67% of women-led businesses expect revenue growth in the coming year.
