Livat Hammersmith is opening its Christmas programme with a free Santa’s Grotto and a two‑day Prize Grabber event aimed at families and shoppers. The grotto will run on selected weekends in November and December inside IKEA Hammersmith, while the Prize Grabber machine will occupy the Livat Atrium for two days at the end of November.

Santa’s Grotto will take place on 29–30 November, 6–7 December, 13–14 December, and 20–22 December, with sessions running each day from 12:00 to 17:00. Visits are free of charge and children will meet Father Christmas inside IKEA Hammersmith. Each child’s visit is scheduled to last approximately three minutes and places will be offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis, meaning organisers cannot guarantee that every child who attends will be able to see Santa.

The Livat Prize Grabber will run in the atrium on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November from 1pm to 6pm. Visitors can step inside a wind tunnel for 30 seconds to try to collect as many tickets as possible; catching two golden tickets wins an instant prize. Organisers say there are over 1,000 prizes available, including high‑value vouchers and retail gift cards, free treats and promotional offers. Sample prizes listed include a £100 Primark voucher, a £100 H&M voucher, £50 Sainsbury’s or Lidl vouchers, IKEA gift cards, free Swizzles lollies and IKEA hot dogs, and buy‑one‑get‑one‑free drinks at Chamber 9.

Both events are promoted as free to attend and no purchase is necessary for the Prize Grabber. Prize Grabber entrants must be present at Livat Hammersmith during the advertised hours on 27 and 28 November. The grotto’s first‑come, first‑served approach and short visit times are intended to allow as many families as possible to meet Santa.

Livat Hammersmith is located on King Street, W6 9HW.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
