Tainá is the story of an orphaned Indian girl who lives with her
granddad, the old and wise Tigê, in a beautiful site by the Rio
Negro in the Amazon. She learns from her granddad the ancestral stories
of her people, whilst keeping a close relationship with the forest and
its animals. Little by little, Taina undertakes to guard the forest and
saves a little monkey from the greed of animal traffickers. Catú,
the little monkey, becomes her inseparable friend after her grandfather’s
death. Taina goes on guarding the forest against predators under the protection
of a charm that her grandfather left her. Escaping the animal traffickers,
the little Indian meets Joninho, and together they share the forest’s
adventures.

Everyone recognises the postcard of 'An Irish Donkey' produced by John
Hinde (Postcard Co.) in the early 1960s. Hinde's famous images of Ireland,
its donkeys, horse and traps, haystacks and landscapes have become famous
throughout the whole world. If you've got any old or new postcards depicting
Ireland, would you be willing to loan them to Irish Centre for this fascinating
exhibition? We need them!! So please can you send them to us, or contact

sampler to create a montage of the 20th-Century.

Lucy thinks she's finally cracked
the love thing - Joe, her handsome American boyfriend is moving over to

Havana 1991. In the claustrophobic family home, Maria Celia and Sofia
remain under house arrest. With the world changing outside their door,
frustration builds like the overpowering summer heat. Taking refuge in
writing and music the sisters struggle daily to keep their passion and
art alive. When censorship denies Maria Celia her husband’s love
letters, Lieutenant Portuondo offers to read them to her, but at a price.
The sisters must then decide whether to take a dangerous chance on freedom.

and moving play blends music, dance and sensuality to create a thrilling
